Today (12 March 2025), Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatwat Saengphet, a member of the Senate, led a team of 81 senators to submit a petition to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) through Mr. Saroj Phuengramphan, Secretary-General of the NACC, to investigate the performance of Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, and Pol. Lt. Col. Yuthana Phraedam, Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), on charges of dereliction of duty under Section 157 of the Criminal Code, suspected of harassing senators in the case of accepting the case of collusion in selecting senators as a special case for money laundering, even though they had no authority to investigate. A total of 105 senators signed the petition.
